Offensive Catenaccio Formation(1-3-4-2)
This is the so called offensive "Catenaccio" formation. This is basically a 4-4-2, but there is something different in the defense. Instead of having a flat 4 you have a diamond 4. You got the left-back,right-back, sweeper, and center-back. The way this system works is with a zonal defense system. The full-backs don't go into attack and the main task of the lone center-back is to stop the ball from getting in the box. A lot of you are going to ask how ar...

Very interesting formation(4-2-3-1)
To me this formation looks very interesting. You have 2 attacking midfielders,a second striker, and a striker. You technically have 3 playmakers. So, I came to the questions. Can this formation work? Can it be creative? Can it be deadly? From my personal point I believe this formation is actually very good. You have two attack minded midfielders that can actually move where ever they want to, which than means they can create goal scoring opportunities from where ever they are at. Than you have a...

Offensive formation(2-4-4)
If you look at this formation you can see that wing play would be abundant and dangerous, but if you look at the last line you see a problem. It's a back 2. A lot of you are going to say "nobody uses this formation anymore". And it is true this formation was probably used around the 1920s. But, if you get the correct players, correct tactics, and correct runs this formation can be used again successfully. What do you think? Do you believe this formation can be used in modern footbal...

One Attacking formation for ManUtd(3-4-3)
A lot of you would put other players in other positions, but this players are ones that I think are the most reasonable to be able to play this formation. This formation is very good for wing-play and I think Manchester United would be very successful with this formation. The way I arranged this players are 3 center-backs, 2 center-midfielders, two outside midfielders, two support strikers, and a main striker. What do you think? And remember playing with a back 3 is not suicide and i...

Best formation for Chelsea formation(3-4-3)
First of all some of you are going to kill me for not having a back 4, but guess what Chelsea can play with a back 3 it is not rocket science or super hard to play with a back 3. The midfield looks strong and creative and it can easily support defense and offense because they are box-to-box midfielders. In the offensive part I put Anelka and Drogba as strikers and Deco as support striker feeding them balls and setting up plays. And if I am the opponent I would be worried about Anelka, Dr...

American HIgh School system formation called 4-4-2
In the United States most High School teams use this formation. I wondered and wondered about this position I had never and heard about it in my whole life the "stopper" so I thinked and researched what it was, and I came to the conclusion that it is a defender acting like a defensive midfielder but deeper. The point is that one coach I knew used this formation and out of 15 games lost 10 tied 2 and won 3. There is a lot of sayings that Americans don't anything about football, but ...

Starting 11 for German National Team(4-3-3)
This is the starting 11 for Germany against Wales. Something that I like about Germans is their mentality and the way they play. Germans players in average are bigger than the players of almost all big teams like England, Italy, Frace, etcet. They play very physical and that is something I like. They also rarely give up on difficult situations. If I am correct Germany is England's archrival on the international stage. Well, I know for a fact the German Bundesliga is not as good as the Premie...

Christmas Tree Formation(4-3-2-1)
I have noticed that a lot of people like this formation. AC Milan has used it to become champions and if you observe you can see that the midfield is well protected and creativity looks evident. But, I see one problem the striker can be easily isolated and he will be marked most of the time by 2 defenders. The attacking midfielders have to be in constant motion or else they will also be isolated and their attack is going to be nothing dangerous. Defensively I think this formation is very solid, ...
