4-4-2 Mexican National Team formation

I personally hate the 4-4-2 I think it's one of the most limited formations in the world. While, you might argue it's very good defensively, and yes I admit that, but I do not like defensive teams thought Mexico is not defensive. If you guys don't know the Mexican National coach is Steven Goran Erickson the ex-coach of England. He has played with Mexico so far 3 official FIFA World Cup qualifying and has won all of them, and I really like his style specially when he changes to a 4-3-3. He doesn't use a lot of unnecessary air balls, plays in the ground using few touches 3 touches the most. Mexico is almost qualified for the FIFA World Cup 2010 and I believe Mexico will at least make it to semi-finals. Yes, I know I can't prove it, but it's just an educated guess.

Yes, we know you don't like 442 :)
I am glad Sven is doing well. He was one of the better England managers but he couldn't manage his media relations and had the public turn against him due to reasons outside of football.
I'd also suggest that you don't be too optimistic about your chances in World Cup 2010. Qualifiying group success does not translate to tournement success very well.

4-4-2 is a solid all round formation as long as the midfield knows their roles. Where England had problems under Ericsson was that the 2 usual central midfielders weren't disciplined enough for 1 to sit back while the other pushed forward and vice versa. As long as you get that sorted, 4-4-2 allows for fluid wings.
