RanulfoKnoxProbably not a lot of known names there but this is to show you our current 3-3-1-3 formation, thanks to the argentinian genius manager Marcelo Bielsa (Former argentina manager). A very interesting formation with tons of dynamics and playing based on fast ball recuperation and killers counter attacks, so far we're doing good with this one currently 2nd on the south american would cup finals qualy table along argentina and brasil. Any comments or questions would be appreciated. viva chile!

RedrebelThis is a 3-4-3. I personally like the 3-4-3, but with a shadow striker and two main strikers, but your formation looks good. I know two players Humberto Suazo plays for Monterrey in Mexico. Matias Fernandez plays with Villarreal.

RanulfoKnoxwell yeah probably its a 3-4-3 but i name it "3-3-1-3" just to make notice of one attacking midfielder and one defensive MF. fernandez or whoever takes his positions got freedom to move around the pitch and start the attack plays

usually i don't like formations with 3 centerbacks but i like this one because it can switch fast from 3 man defending to 6, or what's better, from 4 man attacking to 6 (carmona usually has to stay in the centre of the pitch and not getting very close to the rivals box)

FeriAtsThe problem with these type formations, those which can switch between defensive to offensive with moving around many people, is that they require a lot of coordination and exceptional players. It surprises me that Chile can get this running at national team. The reasons:

1)National teams get together only before a couple of days from the match day and have a few training sessions. Sorting the coordination issue in such a short time seems impossible to me.

2)I didn't know that Chile had that many quality players. I knew Suazo, and he doesn't look exceptionally good to me. I assume the rest of the player are not in par with him. Managing these sort of players with a complicated formation must have been a huge challange to the coach.

RanulfoKnoxwell yeah this is not brazil in terms of individualities, imo we only have 2 exceptional players which are arturo Vidal (first choice midfielder in Bayer leverkusen) and alexis sanchez, playing with udinese right now, theyre both very young and have lots of potential, and will end in a big club if they do the right things in their careers

most of our players are average, but we have a deluxe coach now as it is Marcelo bielsa, so this formation have worked kinda well in the current WC qualies

thanks for the post

RedrebelParaguay is on top of everybody. It is interesting that three fourths of their high quality players play on the Mexican League. Mexican League must be growing very fast.
