Robert O'CarlosTotti is 32, Perrotta is 31, Panucci is 35, Tonetto is 34, Casseti is 31, Montella is 34 ... you can see where this is going.
;-D
I thought I'd have a go at putting together a Roma team with younger players (there's still a couple of 29 year olds here!) to see how Roma might think of progressing.
In recent times, Roma have played almost without forwards but plenty of movement from attacking midfielder types. Even Totti plays by dropping into midfield and prompting his team with passes.
My system would be based on a close knit midfield 3 (all good passers), allowing Riise and Cicinho the space to fly up the flanks. Vucinic would play as more of a traditional front man. Support would come from Taddei and Baptista, who wouldn't have to worry about dropping back too far when the team is defending.
With Riise's and Cicinho's attacking instincts, I'd see it as between a 4-3-3 and a 2-5-3 with a midfield defensive shield.

FeriAtsMaybe it's an Italian thing. Milan have been a Dad's Army for years know as well and to be fair they have been quite successful. Roma is also doing well given their financial situation.
