4-3-3 for chelsea is it successful ?

  • best coach 88 @ 16.06.2009

    this formation for chelsea ( 4-3-3) in 2009 so hiddink did this formation , also mourinho..
    is it correct?

    Malouda plays deeper, more as a wide midfielder. Also, Hiddink redeployed Ballack closer to Obi and Lampard between them and Drogba (so he became less of a box to box player and more of a link man)

    I think ;

    malouda --> joe cole
    drogba --> anelka
    mikel obi --> essien

    essien for mikel - can't argue there - mikel is pants and hasn't achieved the potential he once showed - i'm glad united didn't fight for him
    :-)

    drogba at his best pisses over anelka but his best games are too few and far between

    if fit, i'd like to see joey cole coming in off the right

    it's still an old team and will struggle within the next few years - i wonder if that's why ancelotti has been brought in?

    also i would worry about terry and alex together at the back - if they get drawn out, teams will beat them easily for pace
    :-)
