Speaking of defenders, what do you think of Vermaalen guys? Is he worth the money?

I personally think so, I think people have been too quick to write him off. Hes a good defender and has great technique on the ball and is aggressive.

For that kind of money, Arsene Wenger could have gone for a proven top class defender. That Vermaalen guy might be alright at the end of the day but he was just way overpriced.

We have to consider who is available in the market, players like Sakho and Hangeland would be better choices but they're not for sale. We should wait and see what the guy has to offer before we judge him, Only Football knowers knew who Sagna and Eduardo were before they came to The Arsenal, they didn't turn out too bad did they?
