PletikosaPerfect mix of youth and experience.

A world class centre back pairing, with the 2 wide defenders being young and energetic. Both have fantastic work rates and will thus provide the width that Italy lack.

Pirlo keeps his spot as a deep lieing playmaker. Against a side such that have a talented Attacking midfielder though, he can be sacraficed for Gattuso who will add the aggresive defensive side to italys team.

De Rossi picks himself and his work rate is required. That leaves the last spot to D'Agostino who has been a standout in the Seria A in recent years. Pulls the strings from midfield and will be busting to perform and hopefuly earn himself a move away from Udinese.

Totti, although retired, will add creativity and a constant goal threat. Thats not to mention his set pieces as well. Cassano is Cassano, and he is capable of being a key player for any side in the world.

Up top is Gilardino, however Amauri would also suit this formation if he choses to represent Italy.

FeriAtsWho would you play instead of Totti, if he denies to return from retirement?

willieI believe the 4-3-3 & Italy will never end happily. Italy is about possession & defense, so the 4-3-1-2 is a more defensive version of the 4-3-3 but more flexible in attack & defense.

RicardoItaly need nothing other than 10 men behind the ball to dive and 1 to take the penalties.

If that were the case, surely Grosso's a certain starter then?
