For attacking and defensive situation.

nvr9v9 is an odd one. I am sure you can take two aside and go for a 11v11. It wouldn't make a huge difference in terms of space.

Anyway, if you absoltely have to play 9v9, your 3-4-1 looks good to me.

azz_one79Actually my team will be participate in 9v9 tournament.

Currently, i decided to use this formation, 3-4-1...
But now, i still not sure about that...
One of my friend told me that,
1-2-1-3-1 formation is more better.
Its look more to defensive, anyway it quite ok for me...
The important subject now is, how about my formation on attacking...

There were alot of formation for 9v9 as below:

3-3-2
2-2-3-1
2-1-3-2
1-2-3-2
4-1-2-1
4-3-2

Seek for advice...

nvr1-2-1-3-1 is a variation of 3-4-1, isn't it? It really depends on what type of players are available to your team.

On a general note formations with 2 strikers are a definite no no. It will just wear your team thin either in defense or in midfield.

RicardoWhat you've posted is good ... 3 defenders, four mids and an striker is the way to go. Just can't go thin in the middle and make your fullbacks be prepared to run all day.

azz_one79nvr : yup, 1-2-1-3-1 is a variation of the 3-4-1. Only i make a little bit changes on position of the players. I decided to used sweeper and stopper. Thats can put more strenght on my defence. But my stopper will run up and down, left to right, assist my midfielder as well. He must be the tough one...That is my problem...

Ricardo: I will try find other way and make sure my midfielders go wider around the field...They're also to be prepared to run all day with my lovely fullbacks...heheheh

Schwemminemthe 9v9 tournament is over?
who did it worked?

i would prefer a 3-2-2-1

3 backs in a row - zonal marking. its easier to play than most people think.

2 holding midfielders - help the defensive 3, double their strikers/wingers with them, if necessary share the defending position of your wingers with your wide backs. they should be good at passing "in the hole" and be able to score from distance, because 1 of them have to wait outside the box when you are in attack.

2 wingers - they must be very quick, go in the gaps and 1 of them help your striker in the box.

striker - maybe also a quick one for countering. or if you prefer to control the play, one who can hold the ball and is very good in the box.
