Ah, good old 80s...Tacconi was one of the most underrated keepers of his time. Maybe he was unlucky that he played at the same time with Walter Zenga.

Tardelli used to play more like right back, didn't he?

Re: Tardelli's position, from the 70s until at least the mid-8os, most Italian sides played a lopsided and slightly more open version of catenaccio called 'gioco all'italiana' or 'zona mista'. It was a precursor of the 3-5-2/5-3-2 systems that would become popular from the 80s onwards. Cabrini was like a modern full-back whereas Tardelli was a box-to-box midfielder starting nominally on the right. Later, when this system became more symmetrical, then yes, the Tardelli-type player would become a wing-back, or else be replaced by a right-footed bersion of Cabrini
