Best Formation Manchester United played with this season!

Debateable how this team should be taken.

I wouldn't say Nani has deserved to be in a season's best formation, or Park. For me, Berbatov and Giggs would be among the first on the team sheet. Rafael has shown a lot of spirit but is far from the finished article, still may be the best option United have currently got tho.

I personally think United are best with a 4-4-2 formation, with Scholes and Carrick prompting from midfield.

My comment was more about making the point that you'd have 12 men on the pitch if you keep the midfield and defence the same, as you seem to be suggesting.

oh ok, yeh your right, it would be a 442 and not 433, still rooney and nani up front, 4 mids including the wingers.

The result went as I'd probably expect, maybe not quite so many goals though. Milan are surely realising what a donkey Beckham is by now - was Capello in the crowd seeing him substituted after a limp performance?

I'd expect United to be physical and tight in the second leg, knowing they could afford to lose by the odd goal as long as it was a low scoring match.
