Raymond Kopa, Alfredo Di Stéfano, Ferenc Puskas and Gento on the same team. What else can i say? They beat Stade de Reims on European Cup Final. Their fourth title.

Is this a 4-2-3-1 or were they seriously playing 3-2-4?

I know, when i saw it i couldn't believe it, and still i can really figure out how did it work, but most of the 50's teams played on a 3-2-5, or a 2-3-5!!! Hungary of 54 played like that, Barcelona, Santos of the 60's... take a look at this video of man utd v fulham in 1964: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51H_g94beOY at 1:21 the line-up of united is shown. They play 2-3-5. Unbelievable, isn't it? But that's how it use to be... that's why goal average was so high in those times. 1954 world cup goals per match: 5,38. 1990: 2,21. Nowadays we can see some italian teams entering the field with an 8-1-1. Boring...
