I thought Marquez was a center back.
Anyway, the real thing that's interesting with this selecetion is that the household names such as Vela, Marquez and Dos Santos did not have that many games under their belts this season. This might be a bad thing as they did not have the time to ramp up their form, or a good thing as they wouldn't be so worn out.
i think left flank will be more attacking with Guardado using Salcido as a centre-back, however i'm not a specialist in Mexican team, but this looks a consistent decision. Cause if they will play your formation, they don't have a dispatcher in a centre of the field.It looks laik Barca)

To jaap stam, Marquez is multifunctional player, and there are better center-backs than him in the team. I think he would play better in the midfield because he has an excellent touch something rare for center-backs and he is a good kicker also he can head the ball and is a solid defender. He has played in the midfield wih Barcelona and in my opinion he does better there than defense.
Feri everything is fine, it is just that I forgot about this11 and yesterday I was bored and decided to check it out and I was surprised they actually added things that I demanded. But, talking football Dos Santos will shine with Mexico I'm pretty sure.
Can't be. Marquez is a CD/ DM. He will play as a defensive screen alongside torrado. Guardado plays wide AM down left, and vela shifts in as a striker, maybe....?
Lately, Guardado has shifted to the middle a lot but Salcido takes care of this by constantly running up the flank, Vela is always going to be on the left side so he's going to be the true LAM. I would put 'El Maza' in the CB position and take out Magallon. I agree with you on Michel and everyone else is perfect.
Excellent formation. But in real, Marquez will play the holding defensive role in the middle instead of Torrado. Their places are changed. At defensive line, I think Maza will play with Moreno (two "dutchs" aztecas!) at centre-back. In rest, perfect.
In my opinion Rafa helps the team more when he goes on the offense and generates plays.
Marquez must play DMC and Torrado MC, guardado isnt good enough as MC so he must be in the ban and play Juarez instead, ur defense is good but can be a lot better if u play Maza instead Moreno...
If u want to play Guardado u can change the formation to 4-4-2 with Guardado(ML)-torrado(MC)-marquez(MC-odd)- and Juarez(MR),
or 4-4-1-1 with Creative Blanco behind ur primary forward

This is what I would do (am not too well versed in Mexican football atm though):
Kind of a 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 hybrid, Barrera stays wide to stretch play while on the other side Guardado plays narrower and deeper, almost as a carrielo.
Marquez and Torado play as a double pivot while dos Santos continues to play as a no. 10
