After watching England produce two horrific performances against opponents we should be turning over by 2 or 3 goals, I think it's time that the England formation changed into the 4-5-1 formation that most fans are looking for. If this was to happen, this would be the best option.

I got short shrift from most posters who seemed convinced that Capello's 4-4-2 was the way forward.

I disagreed then and I disagree now. England need 3 midfielders on the pitch or we lose possession too much. There is a strong case for dropping Gerrard and replacing him with Carrick for a Barry-Lampard-Carrick midfield. Unfortunately Gerrard is Captain. Never gonna happen.
