I rate his work with Fulham but I don't believe he's calibre of a top 4 chasing team. This is a clear sign of downsizing that will happen at Liverpool.

My take on this is Liverpools owners are trying to ease the financial situation to enable a quick sale. Sell the stars, pay off some debt, have a better looking balance sheet. Meanwhile, try to punch above the squads weight with a manager who's capable of pulling miracles. Hodgson seems to be the perfect ingredient for the recipe.
