JamiegcAC's formation is vulnerable to attacking full backs. Milan's strikers have little defensive responsibility; so with the Italians' full backs occupied by Lennon and Bentley, Bale and Hutton can fly forward and do real damage. Huddlestone would cover for a full back, as would the respective wingers. Rafael Van Der Vaart would be required to press Pirlo when spurs were without the ball.

Bale would do more damage in this position as he would have far more space; and any player detailed to man mark him would be dragged way out from his expected position.

With this formation, the game would come down to who could score more - Spurs with their swift counter-attacking wide play, or Milan with their mercurial forward line. I predict a 2-2 in Italy, and a 2-1 at White Hart Lane.

some1I guess your little plan is outdated, Pirlo is out injured, and Bale too. I think you are being a little bit too optimistic with Spurs chances in this tie. Just watch and see is all I can say...

NorfLondenI have a feeling that we must go all attack against Dad's Army of Milan. Keep it fluid and they will not be able to keep up.
