jeremythunderThe idea here was to keep the diamond midfield remotely intact, remove Austin da Luz from the starting 11, and try to play to Matt Kassel's strengths.

1. The forward pairing of Henry and Rodgers stays as is, and hopefully continues to do what it's meant to. Henry plays deep, making runs from the left side--Rodgers just charges at the posts, waiting for delivery
2. Lindpere pushes up into the attacking third, to stay close to Henry. They do their regular give-and-goes together.
3. Ballouchy plays the number 10 position, because he can't pass well, he plays more as a pulled back forward.
4. Kassel plays a right-midfielder. He's not strong enough to play in the middle, he's not fast enough to play a classic winger role, and as we learned last week, he's not a defender. I see him thriving in a Beckham-esque role, lingering on the side of the park throwing long passes forward.
5. Tainio remains the spine of the team, back in the D-mid role he thrives in.
6. Solli plays more of a wingback, bombing forward as he has been doing to whip in crosses into the area.
