This is a variation on Luciano Spaletti's 4-6-0, where the player highest up the pitch was a Trequartista(Francesco Totti, and the attack consisted of numerous runners from midfield and from wide positions, all supported by the focal point, Totti.
This formation allows Van Persie to play the Trequartista and allow Gervinho and Walcott to rush in from wide to feed on balls provided by Van Persie through the defensive lines.
The Formation accommodates Arsenal's current midfield trio, replacing Fabregas with who is widely considered his natural successor, Aaron Ramsey, and will consist of much the same midfield play patterns.
Gibbs for Jenkinson. Jenkison is good (I'm a Charlton fan, I should know), but inexperianced and not good enough for the Prem. Gibbs is a bit more experianced I think.
