Dr FaustusWell, I don't know about 2014, because it's still relatively far away. However, for now, Lahm has returned to the left back position. This applies to Bayern and Löw has also said that he will adjust Lahm's position in the NT to match his club position.

Boateng on the other hand recently joined Bayern and will play as a central defender for them. Löw said that he sees Jerome as a central defender, too. So it's unlikely that he will play as a left back. Especially considering the fact that - even if he plays as a fullback - he'll play on the right.

Hummels and Höwedes as the CB pairing would be great. As would be Hummels and Boateng (with Höwedes possibly on the right, if really no RB steps up until 2014 - hopefully someone will though).

Khedira and Schweinsteiger are good. Maybe Sven Bender will overtake Khedira until 2014. He has the talent. Players to watch are also Gündogan, Leitner and Lars Bender.

Offensive line looks good, however, by 2014 Mario Götze will most likely be part of the first team. If he continues to develope as he recently has, he'll be as good or better than Özil by that point. I could see Özil - Götze - Müller playing together. Kroos would either have to move to defensive midfield or to the bench as a super sub.
Also, there's Schürrle who will likely be great.

We'll have to see how Gomez' form will be 3 years from now. Currently, he's in great shape and scores loads of goals, but he's technically limited and doesn't really suit the technical genius of the players behind him. I could see a non-target man striker like Schürrle or even Müller moving up to the CF position. Or maybe one of the currently young strikers steps up until 2014. Maybe Yesil, who will be 20 by that time. Nils Petersen will also be interesting to watch at Bayern.

scholes18Mario Gotze should be in the team. He is one of the best young players in the world.
