TFCBloggerSince I have no idea what the status of Frei's injury is I'm going to assume he's not yet fit and Kocic will start between the sticks. I think Frings is better used in midfield so I think he will start as point back in front of the defense with Eckersley, Harden and Iro lining up at the back (yes, 3-4-3). If things start looking suspect Winter can make the adjustment and slot Frings in place of Harden.

Avila and De Guzman will fill out the midfield. Winter seems to prefer starting Avila in league games and you can't deny that De Guzman is playing the most consistent football in a red shirt in this position so I don't see a reason for a change.

Plata is young and has played a lot of football recently so I see him being rested and may come off the bench. Up front I see Marosevic, Koevermans and Johnson.

This will be an interesting game as Chicago is not doing well this season. I want to see how we do against a lower quality MLS team with our new lineup. This will help guage where we are. I'm going to predict a 2-1 win for us.
