It's better if we invested in defenders first IMHO. Vidic and Ferdinand are getting older, more and more we'll see them being sidelined with injuries.
Jones was a step in the right direction. We need more.
We are by no means lacking in quality centre bbacks imo... not only do we have jones, smalling and evans but also fornasier, thorpe and reece brown who have been very impressive for the reserves.
For me Anderson stil has a future at the club and it would be great to be able to rotate him cleverley pogba and norwood through our midfield in the next few years. as far as a defensive midfielder goes i think we need someone in the miuld of carrick, someone who can control the pace of play from deep positions as well as being able to drop into defence to plug any gaps caised by marauding full backs; martinez or rodwell would be good choices in my book.
Further forward i think we have vet food optians, that said id like us to bring in james rodriguez from porto, he's a fantastic prospect and would no doubt be heaper than gotze
