nvrIn a succession of games Arsenal lost Mertesacker and Coquelin. That could be explained with bad luck if you don't look at the list of players out injured. Wilshere, Gibbs, Dos Santos and Diaby. That's half a team right there. Not only that, this has been going on for years.

So does anybody have a theory why?

chicarooneyLook at Man Utd you are lucky you dont have as many injuries as us. In December we had over 12 injuries lucky enough half of them are back now, but we still have a long injury list.

nvrDos Santos as in Andre Dos Santos, the left back, who joined at the start of this season.

@chicarooney
Yes, your team has been hit with injuries badly this year. But this has been going on for Arsenal for years now. Yours can be explained with bad luck, ours isn't, I suppose.

ZolaA consistent high rate of injury is always either due to ill preparation or lack of depth in the squad. I guess in Arsenal's case it's the latter. It's no secret that they don't like to spend too much money on players' wages. They couldn't reinforce their squad with decent players and this puts a lot of strain on the few quality players they can cling onto.
