SaudShahidI was kind of wondering what type of a formation should my team play.
Here are the characteristics of my players, please advice:

A VERY dependable striker. Scores a goal or more in every match. His weakness is holding the ball, but he can comfortably take on 3-4 defenders on a run; but will lose the ball if he slows down the game.
Two midfielders are very dependable, and they dont mind playing anywhere on the pitch. They can hold the ball very well, play key passes, get the ball back and keep pressing. They are fairly okay with long balls, but are very accurate with the through balls. Another midlfielder usually prefers the left-wing, he is very good with long through balls and has a very good understanding with the striker. The real issue is the right flank. The last midfielder is more of a striker but we wanted him to play in the right wing. He usually leaves his place and ends up in front of the goal, and still does not score very frequently. This leaves the entire right flank open.
We have 11 defenders in the 25-man squad. So apparently defending is not an issue in our team, the real issue is placing the right number of men forward.

We have just one dependable goal-scoring machine, on whom we can count atleast a goal every match. Other than him, there is no other frequent goalscorer. Pleae advice a strategy or formation to make the best use of the striker and our midfield. This team has potential, but it's the lack of proper positioning that is stopping the team from moving forward.

david1993a possible formation could be 4-2-3-1. the last midfielder that is more of a striker you could play him behind the main striker in the attacking midfield role of the 3 behind the striker .

the formation and style of play could be similar to what Arsenal, Bayern, Dortmund or Atletico madrid play
