leaves us with following positions to improve:
left back, centre back, holding midfielder, left wing, striker.
still a long way to go this transfer window.
Joe Cole is deadwood, must be chopped. I don't agree about the holding mid, Lucas Leiva is pretty consistent and doesn't get injured that often.
well injury is one thing but i still think lucas is too lightweight against lower league teams that prefer physical type of game. those were the teams that hurt us most. we missed out on the premiership against teams like hull, bolton, west ham, fulham.
last season we had the repeat of it, fantastic against manure & others, crap against blackburn, wigan, blackpool.
@sanz: right, forgot to add him to carroll, shld be up there as an alternative for the striker position, don't need him anymore on the right wing position.
