nvrI was a bit undecided between Lahm and Capdevilla. Had Germany better central defenders, would have Lahm shined a lot better.

Zhirkov instead of Lahm
Anyukov instead of Ramos
Buffon instead of van der Sar

nvrVan der Sar saved a lot more than Buffon I guess. Buffon's penalty save in Romania game has carried him to headlines for sure but Van der Sar's performance was much more cruical to Holland. They could have easily conceded 3 or more in Italy game for instance.

sp88Best keeper stats put the number 1 jersey between Akinfeev, Cech and Lehmann - Akinfeev punches too often, Cech had 1 very high profile error, and I could never bring myself to pick an (ex) Arsenal muppet - so I went for Buffon purely for experience and consistency over his career.

Although I am a United fan, I don't rate van der Sar as highly as Buffon - had Buffon been playing behind the dutch defence, he'd have had to work harder than he did.
