RedrebelRecently I have been studying Italian and English football. I have found many differences in almost everything. First of all I want you guys to understand I am being neutral. If you are wondering I watched about a third of this week's Premier games and a third of Serie A. What I saw in English football was a lot of air balls. In some cases too many of them. Some of them were unneccesary, but I also noticed the players run a lot. An English game has a fast tempo. Teams attack and defend back and forth nonstop making all the games pleasant to watch. In Italian football I probably saw the opposite. Italians play at a slower tempo, and they play in the ground making their play elegant. But, at times can make the game seem boring and slow. They rarely use unneccesary air balls, and keep possesion. Also I saw a difference in physical play. Players in English Premier tackle each other hard as hell! and get up as nothing happened. In my opinion tackling is an art. But an English game is very physical. In the Italian side they do tackle each other and get up as nothing happened, but they don't do it as much and force. Italian game play can be described as elegant, tactical, and intelligent. The reason I studied this leagues is because I always hear the question of which is the best league in the world. Right now estadistics say it's the English Premier League first, Serie A second, and Spanish third. Leave your comments if you can.

sp88What I like about the English game is the passion in the game. Always got the impression in the Italian game that teams were happy to let the opposition play their own game until they were in the attacking third. I prefer the way English teams look to win the ball wherever the play is and always look to be the attacking side.
