RedrebelWhat you guys think about this formation? I think it's very effective, and original. I don't think any team in proffesional football uses this variation.

GeorgieWasTheBestSurely, you haven't seen many professional teams then. At least half of La Liga plays similar to this.

RedrebelWell, I watch 15 games average a week from all around the world. I watch Argentine League, Mexican League, Serie A, Liga Espanola Primera,Barclays Premier, Dutch First Division, I also watch Major League Soccer, but the season is over, and concachampions, champions league, colombian first division, German Bundesliga, by the way I watched Bayern Munich beat Hoffenmech, and some couple knock-out tournaments like Copa Italia, and Carling cup. And I'm pretty sure half of La Liga doesn't play with this formation, maybe 4-3-3, but not this one.

Robert O'CarlosI can't think of too many teams I've seen play this way. Milan played something similar at stages of last season but maybe not with such a narrow midfield.
The only concern I'd have is whether the 3 forward players would have the space to play. How do you see it Redrebel? Do the strikers kind of switch between being strikers and wide players to stretch defenses?
07.12.2008
RedrebelYes, Robert the strikers would just do that.

theformationnerd123Very Nice Formation Buddy ;). but in La Liga(LFP) there most formation is used by 4-4-2 and 4-2-3-1 but a little bit of 4-3-3.

abilooks really nice. but it looks like it can be penetrated by a long pass on counter attack from opposing full backs to CM's or strickers.

RedrebelNot, really because the right and left center-mid would act as outside midfielders when attacks come from the sides and than they would come back to the middle.
