Robert O'CarlosNot quite sure what point Tevez made to Ferguson here. The Utd boss knows he's a quality player but he's where he probably should be in the overall pecking order.
Also not sure that you can consider this a typical Utd performance. They played the game with a virtual reserve side and played far more defensively/counter attacking than their usual system.
You have to wonder how seriously either team took this match. Blackburn have far more important things to worry about this season without picking up injuries in the League Cup. As a competition, the bigger teams only seem to bother about it if they get as far as the semi finals. Otherwise it's simply an excuse to experiment and try out younger players.
Tevez was Utd's highlight in this match but then Utd were nowhere near as good as they can be with the 1st team playing.

nvrSo Tevez is unhappy about sitting on the bench and frankly he has every right to be. Man U will ask for big money to let him go, which is quite right too. The only team that can afford his price tag is Real Madrid and they already bought Huntelaar. A dead end?
08.12.2008
theformationnerd123Man U will not allow Tevez to go att all. Real Madrid Just Kills the people in the Squad. Like van Nilstrooy, look how was his performance in Man U, when he went to real madrid he is not the same as Man U Performance. and Tevez said he Had Qualms about sitting in the bench against Sunderland.

theformationnerd123Tevez Had No****** Sorry

Robert O'CarlosJust for clarity, don't forget that Tevez is still technically only on loan to Utd. Personally, I hope Utd sort out the finances and make him permanent sooner rather than later.
08.12.2008
theformationnerd123No, Tevez is now a Manchester United player. before the EPL begins in the Transfers. Man U Bought Tevez in a permanent deal. i think.

Robert O'CarlosUtd haven't paid the 29 million (MSI's figure) they'd need to for Tevez yet. It's a complicated situation because of the West Ham not fully owning his registration. Technically it's still an FA approved loan.
The debate is whether Utd will want to shell out that kind of cash now they've landed Berbatov. We shall see.
