RedrebelIf you look at Real Madrid's squad you can see they have a lot of talented midfielders. This formation is the best suited for Real Madrid. This formation allows Real Madrid to control midfield and do as they please. Robben and Sneijder can run the wings without any problem. And all you need is one striker to put the ball in the net and he also is not going to lack any support because Van der Vaart and Guti will always go in for the crosses. I know Van Nilesteroy is injured and his replacement is the player from Ajax, but when he is healed he should be in the formation. What do you guys think about this formation?

Just for his all round play, both attacking and defending, I'd have Sneijder, rather than Guti, in the middle with van der Vaart and play Higuain on the right side. Higuain would look to come infield anyway so Sneijder/Ramos could still get the run of the wing on occasion.

I think the deal for Lassana Diarra is all but done now so I think Real should look to use a defensive midfielder when they can. They've got enough to choose from.
I don't think I'd pick Raul either, but it's a shame to see a Madrid side without him.

Robert O'CarlosI can't see Higuain defending much, that's true. The same with Robben. But with Gago holding and van der Vaart and Sneijder in the middle, I'd say it could be a fairly solid 4-5-1. Plus Ramos's and Heinze's real strength is their defending rather than their forward play, both being strong enough to play at centre back in their time, so I couldn't see the flanks being that weak.
