jmancubsfanI play and captain a team in an adult rec league and since many of the players are older and have less stamina the game tends to follow a certain trend. Generally there are only a couple of young guys who can run in transition and one good playmaker and/or goalscorer on every team. My question is what formation could I use to hide a couple weaker players and maintain possesion and shut down counter attacks in transition?

nvrIt is refreshing to see someone with real life footballing questions. All this Messi-Ronaldo talk might get quite boring.
How about a crowded midfield? Like in 4-5-1, in which you would have your younger guys. They can support defense and attack with the extra speed they've got. Slower players in the backline would need to stay put and not commit forward. In doing so you would be less exposed to counter attacks.
