ZolaThat's breaking news guys. How do you rate him? Is he up to the job?

FeriAtsA fast aging squad, a manager who can win things with Dad's Army...Looks like a match made in heaven :)

nvrDoes he speak English? Or will we watch him learn like Scolari?

gallant19He's been learning English for the past year which led to some speculation about him comming to Chelsea or at least over to England in the first place. Do I believe he can bring Champions League Title and the League title to Chelsea nbext year? Yes, as long as he finishes what Guus started. Guus came in and the only thing he did for the boys on Cgelsea was give them confidence to play their football, then told them to play simple. Break the game down, have confidence, play as a team, keep posseision, work hard, and attack and defend like you mean it. So, as long as Carlo can keep that mentality up, Man U and Liverpool have absoulutly no chance. That is what Sir Alex and Rafa have not done correctly lately.

FeriAtsAppointing a manager to get Champions League success seems a bit daft to me. Any team that makes it to semifinals in CL should consider themselves successful. From that point on it is mostly luck that determines who wins it.
Ancelotti has no experience outside of Italy, let alone England. If he fails to adapt, he won't be seeing later stages of CL.

CaptainGerardTo what extent the managers in Italy get involved in transfer activities? I always had the impression that it's the club presidents who do the deals. If I am right, Ancelotti might be in for an early shock. Anyone remember Juande Ramos' failings in transfers.

ZolaMy first impressions have been good so far. We have beaten the Special One, I know it's a pre season friendly, but still...
Malouda looks a lot livelier under him. It might be down to increased competition with signing of Zhirkov too...
