But Pellegrini only uses 4-2-2-2, 4-3-1-2 and sometimes 4-2-3-1 formations (though he prefers the previous two)and never pure wingers (4-3-3 etc). He has said that he views Cristiano Ronaldo as a striker. If this is so, then Ronaldo would prefer to be a second striker to a target man. Or else he could play in the hole behind the front line. But Kaka likes to play there.
