Few years after that, Alex, the best player of the squad, went to Fenerbahçe along with Deivid and Maldonado. Cris went to Lyon, Luisão to Benfica, Gomes to Tottenham, and Wendell to Bordeaux. By the middle of the season, Maicon (Internazionale) won the right back position from Maurinho.
