nvrAaron Ramsey's is the third career threatning injury that an Arsenal player recieved in a premierhip game in recent years. Ramsey was not pivotal for Arsenal, but you have to feel for the chap.

My memory does not serve me well about other teams, so I ask you guys, are there any other clubs that suffered similar blows?

Or is it just Arsenal are not physical enough and calling these incidents onto themselves with that?

FeriAts3 incidents in 4 years to be more exact.

Arsenal had made a reputation of being beaten to "thougher" sides now. And anyone playing against them try to pull Vinnie Jones antics. Arsenal hardly responds back in a similar way. Even when Ramsey's leg was broken, they just burst into tears. If that happened to a Manchester United player, Rooney would have chopped off Shawcross' head and Vidic will be breaking two legs in retaliation.

In a way, yes, Arsenal brings this onto themselves by making themselves look vulnerable to physical abuse.

Robert O'CarlosArsenal are well known for preferring the skilful type to the battering ram type. Even in training, that set up can leave players unable to instinctively ride challenges. Wenger's folly is that he cannot see that (see any of his surreal comments that opposition teams don't let his side play their football as though that's a fault!).

Ryan Shawcross should not feel at all guilty for his challenge against Ramsey. It was a valid 50/50 which Ramsey simply came off worse in.
:-)

I could even put this comment another, more inflammatory, way: Shawcross wasn't responsible for Ramsey's injury, Wenger was.
