Hasta El Gol SiempreHuracán's colours are all white, but that's not available here so I've used yellow for their shirts.
Both sides used a 3-4-1-2 in this match, although Newell's Old Boys' Luis Rodríguez often dropped deep, making their shape more like a 3-4-2-1 at times with Iván Borghello on his own up front. A lot of that had to do with Rodríguez simply not playing very well, though, rather than any tactical masterplan from Newell's manager Roberto Sensini.
The men of the match were Gastón Machín for Huracán - provider of a defence-splitting pass for César Montiglio, who laid on Huracán's opener for Rolando Zárate, and Mauro Formica, the Newell's #10, who had an unspectacular but solid showing from his usual position behind the strikers. It wasn't an especially entertaining or high quality match, though.
Both goals came from breaks down the side of the pitch, as the three-man defences were easily caught out wide, especially since the wide midfielders did not - with the exception of Marcelo Estigarribia, the Newell's man - seem to have much of a clue how to play full back.
