4321chrisHopefully we can sign Mertesacker, who is taller and far cheaper than Cahill. Also Aly Cissokho would be a brilliant replacement for a poor Clichy. Keep hold of Nasri for the left wing/mid position. Spend some money on Falcao to bolster the attacking options with VP playing just off of him.

4321chrisif we cant keep hold of Nasri, then Hazard would a a perfect replacement, bringing pace and skill.

nvrI'd really like to see Fabregas, Nasri and van Persie be sold for a decent sum. Their development have stalled. I can't see them providing a solid backbone for Arsenal. van Persie is too injury prone, Nasri is too inconsistent and Fabregas is too distracted with the Barca talk.
There's probably no value in transfer market this season due to inflated prices prior to UEFA's financial fair play rules. I'd rather see us cash in, wait for another year and than launch a big offensive for silverware.

4321chrisVery true, Fabregas has been distracted. We could cash in and replace him with Luca Modric? Even Aaron Ramsey is good enough to start instead of Fabregas at the moment.
09.06.2011
nvrGetting Modric is next to impossible. You know, North London rivalry and all that...
Wilshere, Ramsay and Song would be our ideal trio. We'd need 2 upcoming players to back them up.

SpaceGhostAgree 100% on Wilshere, Ramsay and Song in the middle. I'd like to see Nasri stay though. If you want to cash in on a winger, sell the Russian, although the price is probably deflated.
09.06.2011
4321chrisAgreed, sell Fabregas and Arshavin. Song is my favourite midfielder, never stops working, works backwards and forwards.
I might put Wilshere where I have Fabregas atm, then put Song where Wilshere is atm.

nvrI was talking about a strategical move rather than chopping the deadwood.
In addition to Arshavin, Diaby, Eboue, Denilson, Bendtner and Rosicky are in deadwood category for me. They should be sold irrespective of price.
09.06.2011
4321chrisBendtner wants to leave anyway, which is good because he is absolutely useless. Also get rid of Denilson he is just rubbish aswell.
Rosicky can play well when he is given the chance, so keep hold of him.

hum4This is not possible, but best possible. However reality tells u that u won't sign any known player + samir nasri and cesc will be sold

ars4nalWilshere isn't a defensive mid. It's wasting him to put him there, and he would be constantly caught out. Also, Mertesacker has been very unconvincing every time he's come up against world class players.
It's odd you should suggest selling van Persie also, seen as after he did come back from injury, he played a full half of the season and scored almost a goal a game. Without him, we probably wouldn't have made it into the Champions League for next season, such was the rot.
14.06.2011
nvrAs I said earlier, he's too injury prone. I'd rather have someone who will be available consistently.
14.06.2011
ars4nalIt is of course down to personal opinion, but in a squad which has often lacked a killer edge, I would definitely not consider selling the player who got 20 odd goals in the second half of the season, as well as a couple of assists. I see your point though
