Kashiwa are rampant, though Hashimoto comes on for the tiring Jorge Wagner at left-back.

Gamba counter by introducing the defensive Uchida for striker Lee Keun-Ho. Uchida is deployed to sit in front of the back four and deny Domingues his room. This stymies the Kashiwa flow, and when Gamba do get the ball, there is space for full-backs Kaji and Shimohira to advance. Shimohira scores a spectacular fourth to seal the points.
