Gonzalo "True Blue"Well this would be my version of England team.. In the back four I favoured Smalling because of his pace, alongside Terry the box-defender, the full backs stay wide supporting the team as usual and stretching the play, Parker the defence-minded midfielder, stopping the play between the lines (Özil, sneijder, and any forward that could dropp deep), and preventing the centre-backs from being dragged out, but also parker is a terrific "simple passer" building from depth. Lampard-Milner, the two box to box midfielders, dictating the game and arriving to the box, rooney in his favoured false nine role, playing between the lines and dragging centre backs to create space for the midfield runs or cuts-in by the wingers, who provides width, crosses and working into the channels using their great dribbling ability.. This team was inspired by watching Capello still stucked in his favoured 4-4-2 shape, which clearly isn't getting the best of english players since a long time, and always being defeated by the top european selections.

NorfLondenIf we are talking about everybody injury free, everybody at their top form sort of scenario, I would have given Lampard, Terry and Walcott the boot. They are inconsistent, drama queen and immature respectively. Wilshere, Phil Jones and Lennon for these positions and I can see this working.

JimmyGuitaristThat's more less what I'd pick, apart from Milner. I'd move Parker into his position, and put either Carrick of Barry as the defensive midfielder; I'm not a fan of either of them, but both are the only other two who play in that position for there club.
