TheNearPostDefensively it's a simple 4-4-1-1/4-2-3-1. On offense however, Dempsey drifts inside and joins Donovan in between lines, allowing Chandler space to maurade up the flank. This turns the shape into something of a 3-4-2-1. Chandler and Shea are sort of very attacking fullbacks/conservative wide midfielders. The width they provide allows the rest of the team to narrow up.

graysonsonWhy is Oneywu drawn as the deeper, covering CB? He is a prototypical stopper, while Orozco-Fiscal is the closest thing we have seen under Klinsy to a covering CB.
