julian3129Here is a demonstration of everyone's poistions in a goal kick, under the case where opponents is pressing high
GK: You have 3 short options and 3 long/high ball options.
1) The obvious two are the two centre back, who have dropped real deep and clear from opposition's marking.
2) Second is the DM, who should be expecting a marker at his back, and should only be an option if he's lost his marker.
3) Will be the two full backs, which you have successfully picked up in couple of occasions. However, again, only when there are no markers on them
4) Finally is a long ball to our target man (ST), which should be a rare option as we should always intend to start from the back. Keep in mind that you should kick towards the side of the pitch (which every side the ST is on) as it will give us the highest chance to retain the possession
CBs:
Heres is an exceptional occasion where the opponent is pressing high. In such case, drop deep such that you are nearly parrellel to the keeper. It is because the oppositions are very unlikely to press forward to such positions and they are not the most dangerous positions to lose your possessions (of course this should not ever happen)
Full backs:
Go as wide as possible (on the sideline) and should push up to level with the CMs. Get ready to recieve the pass from Keeper
Target Man (ST):
Move to either side of the pitch to receive the high ball from the keeper. The reasons behind this are that firstly, you will be competing the ball with their full backs, who would be less capable in the air. Secondly, as you see on the graph, you will have more options to head the ball to - full back, CM, AM and FC
Forward, AM, CMs:
You should all be ready to recieve the second ball once its played to the teamates above. More on that will be explained in the next slides.
Hope this will give every one a clearer picture of our tactics so no body should be confussing. Try to understand every positions rather than solely your usual positions as it helps better for the teamplay if everyone understands what each others are supposed to do and there are chances when you will play out of your positions. Please have a look and hope you guys find it useful.

chicarooneyTBH It would be hard for a Goaie to demonstrate the perfect long/high ball to a striker.
