The_Black_MambaIt seems to me just like last year Fergie has done his business early, and with the imminent arrival of Baines this could be United's starting XI. So the question I'm asking is if do you guys think this line up could be a good base for United's title challenge, and is it possibly for them to win the Champions League or at least fair better than last season. Do they still need strengthen especially in midfield where they have struggled for the past two seasons, and who do you think should come in and provide the creativity and strength they need. Could it be Modric, Martinez, Cabaye, M'Vila or even Moutinho? I personally would go for Joao Moutinho who we have tacked since his days at Sporting, we even tried to sign him at the same time we signed Nani. He is at a good age 25 years old, would cost around £15-20mill compared to Modric £35-40mill, he is strong and he has that creative spark that is so desperately needed.

willowsjWell immediately I look at that XI and think that I doubt it will be as you say. I think it's almost certain young Powell wont slot straight into the team, Scholes, I assume, will be there - especially as hes just signed a new contract, he wont have done that knowing hell be on the bench.
At the back, as much as i'd like to see Smalling, and Jones slot in, I doubt either of them will, and we'll go back to our Vid/Ferd partnership.
In the midfield, I cannot see Nani playing a huge role, Im 90% sure Young will take his place.
In terms of the front me, have a read of this article I did a while ago regarding Kagawa at United (Note - he hadnt officially signed when it was written)
