Moreover, he's got a destroyer behind him that can help him on defense and not leave the U.S. bare when they lose the ball.

The fear here is that there aren't enough numbers to open up the opponent, but what WILL open up the opponent is the movement of the front three, particularly Dempsey as the false nine. He'll look to drag the centerbacks out of position and create holes in the defense for Altidore and Donovan to exploit. Bradley's runs will be a threat as well.
