GeorgieWasTheBestI am toying with the idea of buying a game console to my borther for Christmas. I am not really into gaming and there seems to be people who know a thing or two about games here. My brother is 10 and enjoys football a lot. So which console is the best? PS3, XBOX, Nintendo? Which football game to go with it? FIFA08, PES? Why did you prefer yours to the others?

Robert O'CarlosNot sure you'll get too many knowing answers, Georgie. Seems to me that few people would bother owning more than one type so couldn't really compare.
The only thing I know is that the XBox suffered from being rushed out because there weren't that many games available at the time. Might be better now.
Also I've heard that PES plays better but FIFA is more realistic in look and has all the valid licences.

-PES? what can i say. I prefer PES to FIFA a lot. FIFA? Im there with Robert. FIFA is more realistic. Why do i prefer PES to FIFA? because (PES) is more Fun to play and you enjoy it also. The formations are the same as the coach's formation in the real ither. same formations wich is the default formation. and game play and the face looks empression and the players looks like real. and more.... and i cant say them all.
and why should you go with PS3?
PS3 is great! Xbox, i had it before and out of a stonishment a two red lights came out of the light thing. and you will find alot in PS3 games. but ps3 hold so many long. i have PS3 like 2 years or 3 years. and its still working.

GeorgieWasTheBestCome end of January, teams will have new signings. How would do game get the updates? Download from web? Do you have to pay for that?

You have to depend on other players putting their option file online though. And it's completely unofficial so may not be totally accurate. There'd be no January release for these games. They only bring one out around October time.

prekazii am suffering from a similar problem with Georgie. I have decided to go with PS3 though- the question is when to buy it (for the cheapest rate). would these xmas sales be the best offer i could find, or should i wait after xmas, as the unsold ones will be on offer cheaper? any experience in price changes of thecnologic toys?
