Robert O'CarlosStam would have lasted longer if it wasn't for the book. He was an incredibly good defender, like a John Terry who could also play the ball out of defense well.
If you need anymore proof, how many other players can you name that the normally stubborn Alex Ferguson has publicly admitted he was wrong to let go?

IIHickeyIIi think stam was a good choice, but i agree with what your saying, he did only play a couple of seasons but he was truly an influential player. It would be nice to see solksjaer in there somewhere, he convinced me he was a good player with that 90th minute goal in the champions league final back in 99.
