Maxi Rodrigiez is a work horse who could replace Zanetti as wide mid-/wing-back.
Angeleri is a necessity for the back line, as they badly need pace in this sector.
I'd rotate Milito (strong in the air, holds the ball up well) for Higuain (quicker, better for pressing right across the front line) in certain games.

willieI really like this as it's pure attacking football, but I'm just not impressed w/ Jonas. I know we have better options. It's actually similar to the formation against Mexico in 08 where we on 4-1. Messi would drop deep like a playmaker in some cases so it would become a 3-4-1-2. Man we should coach the national team :P But considering Maradona is just muy estupido, he'll continue to overlook many essential players. Do you think this team could be competitive against faster & more physical teams?

-the back three should be sufficient cover against Brazil's front two
- the outside-forwards will effectively neutralise Brazil's full-backs, who will have to stay back or risk leaving Lucio, Juan (with the aid of Gilberto Silva) outnumbered. This is a huge part of Brazil's game.

willieWell it depends how Brazil play. When we faced them last June I think, we came out w/ a 3-4-1-2 against there 4-3-1-2. I still am not sure w/ a 3 man defense even though it worked last time.
But your points are valid & what do we have to lose!
Cambiasso there is a dream because Maradona will choose Gago, & Aguero will replace Milito.
