Jaap StamWould have some one from Swiss defense in there. They have caused the biggest upset of the tournement so far, haven't they?

On a more general note, tournements always start slow and become more dramatic when teams need results. This is also when true quality shows itself. We will have a better idea of "best 11" at the end of 2nd round.

ZolaI am not sure about Messi, Robinho and Onyewu.

Messi and Robinho are great players but they didn't do anything special in their first games. Actually they were way below their own averages.

Instead of them, I'd have Heskey and Derdiyok. Derdiyok was phenomenal against Spain. You simply can't knock him off. I also feel Heskey's great effort was shadowed by the result US got.

England had 4 or 5 clear cut chances to score, I don't understand why people think Onyewu was good. He lost his place, he lost his man for too many times. Maybe Grichting in his place?

Ross3GI agree with Zola about Messi. He didn't do much against Nigeria. However, I'm happy with Robinho's inclusion, the defence splitting pass against PKR North Korea was just about worthy of a place in this XI.
Onyewu? I don't understand why you've included him in this line-up, he had very little to do against England, and when called upon lost his man several times.
I think a North Korean defensive midfielder should be in the XI after keeping Kaka & Elano at bay.

No Switzerland players? Weird.
