RedsUnitedWe believe this would be the starting line-up for the Red Devils on 8th Aug, although Sir Alex may replace neville using either O'Shea or Rafael and Evra using Fabio. The likeliness of putting J.Evans instead of Brown is also possible.

However, we think that the mid-field players will be the predicted four players here, mainly due to the A class performance they showed last season and also because of the injury issues faced by players such as Hargo, Anderson, Carrick etc.

Last, but not least, the strikers in MU this season has shown great potential in the Summer Tour, making it harder to predict a starting line-up. We do not think any of the strikers will be allowed to play a full 90 minutes game in this match. It is likely that Chicharito, Berba and Kiko will come out at some point of the match, possible after the first 45 mins.

As for the play formation, a 4-4-2 would be a safer bet, while it is also possible that Sir Alex may go for the 4-5-1 which were used quite a few times last season. As MU is a team known for its traditional footballing, we predict most attacks to be created from the wings. If any central attacks were to be created, scholes would most likely be involved. We have all seen him play more like a "play-maker" last season and seen his efforts to encourage more attacking in the game. Scholes also notably headed the only goal of the MU vs M City game near the end of last season, showing the strong heart and determination in him. The boss always wants his players to "chin-up" at times of defeat, and to fight till their last breath. This, hence provides all the more reasons for Scholes to come out in the starting 11.

Good Luck, Manchester United.
