Liverpool - next season formation?

GerrardTorresIf we buy Charlie Adam, how will he fit in with Lucas, Gerrard and Meireles?
The other issue is including BOTH Suarez and Carroll.
I've tried to solve these 2 problems with the above lineup...but where does that leave Kuyt, Aurelio, Cole?

FeriAtsGerard is 30, he has 3 or 4 years of top level football ahead of him. If Liverpool can decrease the number of games he plays from 50+ to 40-, they can extend his career for another 2 or 3 years. If they get Adam, he could easily shoulder 20 or so games.

I don't think will see two of them on the pitch at the same time too often.

SanzKuyt - will play very often in the big games at least.
Aurelio - is never even fit to play.
Cole - will hopefully be off the books in the summer as he's well past his best. Definitely doesn't belong in the starting lineup.

I would stress, also, that it's a team game. And besides, many of our players haven't done enough to demand a regular place anyway.

Two problems with your formation...

1. Gerrard playing on the right is a non-starter and won't happen. Kenny has said in the very recent past that he feels Gerrard's best position is centrally.
2. I don't want to see Glen on the left next season. Yeah, he can do it and has done it very well defensively, but it limits him going forward. Having two right-footed players on the left flank would really grind my gears.

Although you may not be focussing on the defence but on Adam/Meireles/Gerrard/Suarez/Carroll, so that's fine, as long as you see a left back in our plans next season.

Personally, i'm not sure Adam is good enough to play at the top level, let alone demand a starting spot straight away.
