srussell541This is the 11 I feel that Fergie definitely could roll out against Barcelona Saturday.
Carrick sitting in the space in front of the defenders to help out with Messi jumping back into midfield as a false 9, Park and Fletch partner in central midfield to hound Xavi and Iniesta.
Up front is where United could win or lose. Rooney has been largely ineffective when deployed on the left this year, but he could take advantage of the space left by Dani Alves when he roams forward as well as helping to mark the Brazilian right back. Valencia is Valencia. He'll track back. He'll bomb down the right wing. He'll bombard the box with crosses when he gets the chance. Why Berbatov instead of Hernandez? Berbatov is a better hold up player, which we will need on the counter attack when Rooney and the others arrive, he can lay off the ball and put himself into a better position to score.
While I'd personally rather see a 4-4-2, I feel like matching Barcelona's shape and having a team with the energy to press Barcelona for a full 90 minutes may be Fergie's best bet from snatching one away from Barcelona.
