4321chrisJose Enrique LB from Newcastle, cheapish, fast, skillfull, good crosser, strong, good tackler.
Henderson RM from Sunderland, fast, young, creative.
Suarez and Carrol upfront, Suarez just behind because he's a good dribbler and very skillfull and fast and can create a lot of chances for Andy.

david1993i dont think agger and skrtel together are good enough and with johnson rb they defense wudnt be the best.
if they got another 1 or 2 good cb the defence wud be good

manutdredseal46I see a lot of problems defensively. Lucas is the only midfielder who is even a little bit offensive and he's a converted attacker to begin with, Johnson might as well be a winger since he's terrible in defense, Enrique likes to attack too, although he's come back and defend more than Johnson, and both CM's are below average. This team would be pretty capable offensively but it would get scored on very easily.

mbillington10Hi David1993, in the last seven games that Skrtel and Agger played together last season, they didn't concede a goal, so I think it is unfair to suggest that they aren't good enough to play together. Though you are right to highlight that Liverpool need an extra centre back to provide cover and competition for Carragher, Agger and Skrte.

The idea that Johnson isn't a good defender is nonsense, its myth that has been perpetuated by the media. Liverpool season ticket holders are aware of how good he is defensively. If you think his defending is poor it is because you misinterpret his roles as an attacking full back, like Dani Alves, Marcelo or Michel Bastos. These players have to leave their defensive positions in order to contribute to the attack. I'm not saying Johnson is faultless, but do you think Mourinho, Redknapp, Benitez and Capello would all pick a player at right back who was terrible in defence, of course not.

Manutdredseal46, you are right to point out that at Gremio Lucas played in an advanced midfield position, but it was four years ago that he last played there, and since he has become an established defensive midfielder, and was player of the year last year. Though I can see your concern over defensive protection as Gerrard wouldn't provide the defensive cover that would be needed with a two man midfield.

It is very difficult to guess the line up with so much of the transfer season still to go, but I think you have made a great effort. I like the way you have set your team up, a likely formation. I think Kuyt will start at right midfield and Liverpool will probably sign a left midfielder to play where Mereiles is highlighted, but we will see.

david1993im not sayin they are defenders what i realy ment is that their main compettion for cb are carrahger who is still good and kyrgiakos i dont think he is best defender if they had another cb they would be more competive and each player will have to improve to play

OnceABlueCan Henderson match Kuyt's game at that spot? I very much doubt so.
