AndoI gave Cherundolo the C and gave him a start at outside back 1) as a gesture to a great American player who might not make the next World Cup, and 2) Because the outside backs, Chandler aside, aren't all that impressive. The other overages are Dempsey, the US's best player, and Torres, because I think the USA lacks a little U23 quality. Torres could be swapped out for any other centermid, most notably Holden, asssuming health, but other names to consider are Bradley, Johnson, Williams, and maybe even Edu or Beckerman. Perhaps Diskeruud would work in a less advanced position? If so, that leaves an overage for the likes of Donovan or someone else.

AndoIt's sort of a human interest story at this point for me. I'm a fan of university football (An even bigger lawl for you europeans, probably) and the coach at my university, Caleb Porter, was just named manager of the u23s.
